Finally blue sky,

Clear sky of Tehran's freezing night
A rainy day in a park in Ahwaz
After more than a month of polluted air in Tehran and the other big cities, the rain came to help people to breath. Yesterday and last night we saw one of the clearest sky’s in Tehran. The night shot shows Tehran from the north. Today it was freezing and it was many car accidents because of the ice on the roads.
Last Wednesday was Yalda night; an ancient Persian eve very near to Christmas and many people believe they have the same roots. I took this other photo in a park in Ahwaz the day after Yalda night.

A few weeks ago, I went to the Bahram Castle, a Caravansary located at the National Park of Kavir in the central desert of Iran.
The Bahram Castle is a Royal caravansary, in the way of north from Esfahan to the Caspian Sea coast. There is the remains of the royal Harem, beside the Castle, and a wonderful canal which brought the water from Cheshmeh Shahi Spring about 7 Km at the south of the Castle, and remains of a road built on the wetlands of the desert using char coal to reduce the density of the road and keep it up in rainy seasons.

I prepared more photos from Oshtoran Kooh Trip. At this time of year I expect colder weather conditions and yellow leaves there.

Letter!

If you can read Persian please read this letter, but please do not laugh at it. A poor old man gave this letter to one of my colleagues last week when she was going to come to work early morning in the bus. He told my colleague please do not laugh and please do not throw it out, if you are interested please pass it to another, and she passed it to me. I am putting it completely in this page for every one to read, consider it as one of our big city bigger problems and this one has a polite way to express and act and a taste of writing.
Behind this letter you may find the real face of Tehran, the mega city and capital of Iran.

Roofs

Tehran's old municipality

Look at the roofs, the black and white picture is a photo taken from Tehran's municipality more than 60 years ago, this beautiful building was located at the northern side of "TOUPKHANEH" square, the biggest square in the old Tehran and now located at the south east of the city. The building destroyed about 40 years ago and now you can find out a bus terminal at its location.
The colored pictures are from a modern tower located at Bucharest St. (an expensive commercial place at the center of the city). Carefully look at the roofs. It seems the architect took the idea of the roof right from the municipality building but I am not sure about it, it could be an accident or maybe both came from another building from other place in the world. If you know more about these roofs please let me know.
